AVF at Design Week — Mexico City

Mexico, October 2025

We were invited to present our process during Design Week CDMX 2025—one of the most important design events in Latin America. The invitation came after our work on PULSE sparked conversation in the region’s art direction circles.

The Installation

We presented a 12-meter interactive typographic installation at the Museo del Diseño: a generative system that constructed words based on real-time responses from the audience. More than 4,200 visitors experienced it during the four-day event.

The Talk

In the keynote session, we discussed “Design Without Permission”: how Latin American design studios have moved from imitating the language of Europe and North America to defining their own. The room was packed with 280 people standing.
